Chaplain Harold Fuller Receives Lifetime Membership Award

Chap-FullerOn Friday, June 15th during the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce weekly Friday meeting, Chaplain Harold Fuller was presented the Chamber’s Lifetime Membership award.

Our friend Chaplain Fuller spent 35 years as the Chaplain at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center.  Although he retired as Chaplain from Legacy, he is still an active Chamber member and can be seen at almost every Chamber AM meeting as well as many other events around the Gresham area.

He carries a business card that says, Roving Chaplain, ”Have Bible, Will Travel”. He continues to fill in as roving chaplain in the community and at area churches.
Chaplain Fuller has another calling as well — making pie.  His favorite variety is marionberry because it represents two things that pastors spend much of their time doing:  “marrying and burying.” In fact, in 2010 the Gresham Outlook ran an article in 2010 about Chaplain Fuller and his pie making. http://www.oregonlive.com/gresham/index.ssf/2010/09/chaplain_harold_fuller_regular.html

As Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce members, we are very pleased that the Chamber  presented him with this honor. Our meetings just wouldn’t be the same without Chaplain Fuller and his great sense of humor.
